The aim of the programme which was organized by EEDC Enugu zone was to enlighten the public on the topic "Reduction of ATC & C Losses using GIS and launch their Kpakpando application. Various heads of different unit of EEDC were in attendance.
I arrived late to the occasion because of logistic issues such as traffic in Enugu town and delay of commercial buses in mobilizing passengers to enter their bus before they leave their loading point. Therefore, I missed part of the programme.
However, I listened to some presentations and most especially the talk delivered by Uche Anyaelechi.
Below are the important points which I highlighted from his presentation:
1. Advantages of GIS
2. The tactics they used in collecting the building footprint in southeastern Nigeria.
3. How GIS can help to reduce ATC & C Losses.
4. The launching of Kpakpando application.
Kpakpando application has more features than just open street map. The building footprint was represented with PID.
5. Story map was also presented.
After the talk, a group photograph was taken, followed by the closing prayer.
