When You Line Up for Communion, Heaven Is Watching. Stop Playing Holy at Communion Time.

Do you still believe in the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist or have you started receiving communion just for receiving's sake?
The Catholic Church teaches something radical, beautiful, and deeply mysterious: that at every Mass, when the priest speaks the words of consecration, the bread and wine are no longer bread and wine. Though their appearance, taste, and texture remain the same, their substance is completely transformed into the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ.
This change is called Transubstantiation.
As a priest, my most beautiful part of my ministry is the Eucharist. That’s why I intentionally keep my homilies short or average, not because I have nothing to say, but because I want to slow down and enter deeply into the Eucharistic prayers.
Too often, we get carried away with long preaching and end up rushing through the holiest part of the Mass. That’s dangerous for the people of God who deserve to meet Christ reverently, and without haste at the altar.
It pains me deeply that many people receive the Eucharist unworthily.
Let’s be real. You must not go for communion if you are not in the state of grace. If you haven’t gone to confession after serious sin, please, sit down. You can make a spiritual act of communion instead. Jesus understands a humble and contrite heart more than a proud walk to the altar.
At confession, it’s few people. But during Communion, suddenly everyone is a saint, almost the whole church lines up. Who are we deceiving?
If you are shy to remain seated during Communion, then be shy also to commit sin.
No one will arrest you for sitting. In fact, heaven respects that honesty more than a thousand unworthy communions. Don't fear judgment from people; fear judgment from the One who is truly present in the Host.
So I ask again: Do you still believe?
Don’t let the Eucharist become an ordinary routine. It is Christ Himself, humbling Himself, offering Himself, giving Himself to you in love.
Let every "Amen" at Communion be a faithful Yes, Lord, I believe it is You. Let every Mass be a renewal of awe and reverence, not just a Sunday obligation.
Let us, priests and laity alike, never forget: The Eucharist is not just part of the Mass, it is the heart of the Church.
